PAT testing (Portable appliance testing) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use.
Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination but some types of defect can only be found by testing.
It is recommended that offices, shops and hotels have their Class 1 equipment that doesn’t move tested every 48 months. The recommendations also suggest that portable equipment is tested every 24 months – this includes extension leads.
The team at J.E.R. Electrical have the relevant training, knowledge and experience to be able to carry out your PAT testing safely and securely, ensuring your company’s equipment is safe for your employees to use. Our team will also have the right equipment to enable them to PAT test your appliances thoroughly and efficiently. They will also be proficient at using the necessary equipment as well as being competent at reading the results the equipment produces.
